Rose Lagace is a lot of things:
An independent film & television production designer and art director. An art department professional for large budget film and television. Creator, writer and editor-in-chief at ArtDepartMENTAL.com, a website dedicated to the work of the art department — because art direction matters. A burgeoning filmmaker at Collective Friction Film Collective. A social media strategist working to bring independent films to their audience. Lastly, an entrepreneur and promoter of all things good and beautiful about art, architecture, design and film.
At the age of 14, Rose realized she would live the rest of her life pursuing one dream: to make good films. She subsequently leaped into community theatre while becoming the biggest cinephile her small town of Welland, Ontario had ever seen. Later she graduated from Niagara College of Applied Arts & Technology having studied art history and film theory and made the move to Toronto.
Since then she fell in love with the art department and has production designed or art directed 35+ projects including The Rendezvous, Body Language, At Home By Myself… With You and Old Stock. Currently she is working as the Art Department Coordinator on the NBC series Covert Affairs.
